- Offer description:
Workers will assist with all aspects of small grain crop production, including wheat and canola, on a family-run grain farm. Primary duties include operating field equipment for tillage, planting, and harvesting under supervision, following provided training. Workers will perform general farm labor such as loading and unloading seed and fertilizer, monitoring equipment during operations, and cleaning work areas. During times when field work is limited due to weather or crop conditions, workers will carry out maintenance tasks on agricultural implements and assist with general upkeep of the farmyard and shop areas. These activities may include basic mechanical tasks, cleaning equipment, and organizing tools and supplies. Workers must follow all safety guidelines and participate in training on equipment use and handling. No experience is required; all necessary instruction will be provided. The job requires flexibility to perform a variety of manual labor tasks based on seasonal demands and weather patterns. Workers must be prepared for physical tasks including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in variable conditions. Tasks will be directly related to agricultural production and vary throughout the contract period to support efficient farm operations during peak seasonal workloads from mid-April through early November. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
