NORTH CAROLINA HARVESTING LLC.FLC, (170) Temporary Agricultural Workers for North Carolina in (Nash and Wilson Counties) from Apr-05-2026 to Nov-20-2026. PLANTATION OF TOBACCO, SWEET POTATOES, WATERMELON, AND CUCUMBER. Settling Tobacco, Topping Tobacco, Suckering Tobacco, Barning, Backing, Cleaning Tobacco. Harvesting Tobacco, Sweet potatoes, Cucumbers, and Watermelons. Settling Sweet Potatoes, Watermelon, and Cucumbers. Workers will also be harvesting by hand, pulling weeds, raking, moving irrigation pipes, weeding, pruning, caring, Ditching, packing, cleaning up rows where plantings are, driving buses, performing equipment operations of farms, and working in all areas of the farm. Topping the Tobacco suckering must begin as soon as the uppermost reapable leaf is of such a size that the topping operation will not damage it. When the time comes to harvest, we will harvest by hand and by machine. Workers will harvest sweet potatoes/cucumbers and place them in 5/8 buckets. The job is outdoors and continues in all types of weather. Prolonged walking, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Able to lift and carry 75 pounds repetitively throughout the workday. Workers should be physically able to do the work required with or without reasonable accommodation. The use, possession, or being under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol during working time is prohibited. Workers may be requested to submit to random drug or alcohol testing at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. Requires 1 month of verifiable work experience in manual harvesting. The estimated hourly rate is $12.78/hr. guaranteed for "U.S. workers (A1)", and the estimated hourly rate is $11.09/hr. guaranteed for "H-2A workers (B1)" “AEWR; Workers in NC State”. Wage Rate: $0.50 per 5/8 Bucket or equivalent (Sweet Potato), Wage Rate: $1.00 Per 5/8 bucket or equivalent (Cucumbers). Guarantee 35 hours a week. 1st-week warranty. Will provide daily transportation round trips to and from housing to the work-site location, at no cost to the workers. Housing is provided at no cost to workers who cannot reasonably return their residency daily. The employer provides the tools at no cost to workers. 3/4 scheduled working hours guaranteed. Transport/subsistence reimbursed for the costs incurred by reporting to the workplace if the worker completes half the period of employment. Return Transportation Refunded if the worker terminates the contract. The employer understands that the Fair Labor Standards Act applies independently of the H-2A requirements and imposes. Obligations on employers regarding payment of wages. 20 CFR 655.122(h)(1).
