Please note that the Employer will require a total of forty (40) H-2A workers under this contract. Of these, twenty (20) H-2A workers will commence employment on April 6, 2026, and the remaining twenty (20) H-2A workers will commence employment on May 4, 2026. *All packing duties will be performed in the field and on the farm Field Worker to perform the following duties: Crew Leaders for Strawberry Ground Harvest Crews - Conventional Strawberries to perform the following duties: Under supervision of Supervisor, direct and monitor all aspects of harvesting, Food Safety, and support in Groundwork Crew Supervision. Monitors the work of other farm workers by assisting with pre-harvest process and audits, checks crew’s quality of work and product’s quality, and helps coordinate daily production and work, all of which are listed under SOC Code 45-2092 for Farmworkers. This is a nonsupervisory position. The Crew Boss does not develop or implement training or supervise health and safety compliance. Those responsibilities belong to the First-line Supervisor/Foreperson assigned to each crew. At times it will be necessary for Crew Leader to physically harvest on Ground Harvest Crews. The Crew Leader will supervise the following activities: • Be able to use a handheld box scanner reader • Responsible for creating a safe work environment for the safety of all Employees • Support the Quality Control Team and its members • Assure that company quality fruit standards are followed • Assure that company productivity fruit standards are followed • Disclose employee expectations to crew • Re-enforce company rules and policies • Pre-stage all harvest materials, check restrooms and make sure drinking water is available • Assure that the final product has the proper documentation • Complete necessary documentation for payroll • Complete Food Safety Documentation • Report and Complete paperwork regarding accidents • Assure plant maintenance and fruit quality on strawberry bed during harvest • Conduct weekly tailgate meetings • Communicate effectively with truck drivers/forklift drivers and supervisors • Crew leaders may drive tractors with a gross weight capacity under 26,001. A commercial driver’s license is not required to drive the tractors.
