This job description is for Cabbages, Cucumbers, Hard squashes, Squashes, Green beans, Onions, Potatoes, Corn, Sweet corn, Grains, Carrots, Silage, Alfalfa, Hay, straw, alfalfa, and Vegetables. Worker will transport farm workers to and from the job sites and to the store and laundromat weekly. Will set up irrigation. Will operate agricultural equipment. Sort, pack & stack beans. Hand plant vegetables, weed vegetables & harvest vegetables. Be able to lift 60 pounds. Work requires standing, walking, bending repetitively, lifting and kneeling. Worker must have/be able to obtain and maintain throughout employment a valid driver's license: Class A CDL or equivalent. Must comply with all applicable requirements of USDOT regulations. Must pass a post-employment road test to gauge driving ability. Employer uniformly conducts a post-employment DOT physical, drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check at no cost to the worker. Must have proficiency in English to communicate, read/comprehend traffic signage, and interact with roadway officials. Worker must have/be able to obtain and maintain throughout employment a valid driver's license: Class A CDL or equivalent. Must comply with all applicable requirements of USDOT regulations. (under 2.5 hours per day). At the end of the contract, drivers will have driven less than 50% of the total work hours and, therefore, less than 50% of the total work days. All time spent driving on behalf of the company is compensable. Workers will be compensated at the correct rate of pay for all hours worked, including when they are performing the employer’s obligation of driving.
