We are a custom hay operation. We run two swathers - sometimes for forage harvesters. We swath grass hay and alfalfa. We rake and bale in both round bales and large square bales. We do everything from swathing, to raking, to baling, to stacking to delivering the bales. We utilize semi trucks and wheel loaders. We also have to maintain and operate center pivot irrigation systems. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: attach/detach implements; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work areas; inform farm managers of plants or crops progress; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; maintain grounds and landscaping; operate self propelled machinery; record information about crops; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; set up, operate, and repair irrigation equipment; use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: bailers and other hay equipment, GPS guidance systems, irrigation equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, self-propelled machinery, semi trucks, skid steers, straight frame trucks, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: hay, silage. Must speak and understand English.
