We farm 3,200 acres of tomatoes, corn, soybeans and pumpkins. We haul all of our tomatoes with our own farm trucks. We stay very busy and need employees who are not afraid to work. Employees will operate tractors, fork lift, farm truck to move, transport, load, and unload equipment and farm supplies for in-field and delivery operations. Employees must be able to drive a manual transmission, drive farm truck on public roads, and inspect farm trucks for things that are wrong (pre trip inspection). Employees must be able to run mower, tillage tractor, combine, be willing to learn how to run tomato harvester, operate a ATV and UTV, be able to back trailers in tight places, and be able to navigate on public roads to fields, delivery points and farms. Employees will apply in-season fertilizer or inputs to crops. Employees must know how to work John Deere displays using GPS and control equipment, or be willing to learn. Employees will assist with grain handling, monitoring and operating, e.g. unloading and loading grain into farm trucks. Employees will need to be able to climb grain structures and grain equipment 120 ft off the ground. Must be able to manually remove rocks for farming areas. Employees must be able to write in English to fill out field tickets, track inventory, and keep record of field operations. Employees will need to be organized, work safely and cautiously, communicate/work well with others, follow instructions, do simple math, problem solve, daily cleaning, and must pass DOT physical. Employees will assist with all aspects of growing these crops, and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities. No commercial trucking is required. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.
