Perform agricultural duties associated with the production of corn, soybeans, and wheat. operate, drive, and tend farm equipment used in crop production, including tractors, combines, grain carts, seed drills, spreaders, sprayers, and other agricultural machinery. Duties include tilling soil; planting, cultivating, fertilizing, spraying, harvesting, and storing corn, soybean, and wheat crops. Attach, adjust, and detach farm implements such as plows, discs, drills, sprayers, and harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools. manipulate machinery controls to set, activate, and adjust equipment during operation. Load hoppers, containers, conveyors, planters, and sprayers with seed, fertilizer, chemicals, or other materials using forklifts, transfer augers, pumps, hoses/pipes, and shovels. mix specified materials or chemicals and dump solutions, powders, or seed into planter or sprayer equipment as required. Apply fertilizer and pesticide solutions to control insects, weeds, fungus, and crop diseases using hand sprayers and tractor-mounted spray equipment. Drive trucks with dump bodies, flatbed trailers, and hopper trailers to haul harvested crops, supplies, tools, and materials in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. Load and unload crops and materials manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, transfer augers, and pumps. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on farm machinery, including greasing equipment, inflating tires, servicing gearboxes, maintaining proper fluid levels, and cleaning machinery. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions and report problems to supervisors.
