Crops: Nursery Plants, Bare Root Plants, Liner Plants, Plug Trays Greenhouse: Taking cuttings from mother plants; planting cuttings, bare root plants, and tissue culture plants into plug trays; filling plug trays; moving plug trays from the planting warehouse into the greenhouse and between locations within the greenhouse; pruning greenhouse plants; preparing plants for shipment; and loading plants into trucks for delivery to customers. Applying fertilizer and watering plants as directed, not requiring a pesticide or applicator license. Operating agricultural equipment related to routine greenhouse and field tasks. Field: Receiving and loading/unloading trucks and wagons of plants; processing plants; planting plants in fields; weeding; irrigating; and harvesting crops. Some workers may be required to operate tractors and agricultural equipment and occasionally lift 50–70 lb modules. Work environment varies with the season and may range from 32°F to 100°F. Work may be performed in protected and controlled environments such as warehouses, barns, or greenhouses, as well as unprotected outdoor agricultural fields. Workers will be provided on-the-job training for all assigned duties, including greenhouse propagation, field work, equipment operation related to routine agricultural tasks, and shipping preparation. After a reasonable training period of approximately one month, workers are expected to meet the following normal performance goals, which are provided for planning and productivity expectations and are not intended to establish a piece rate or disciplinary standard. Cutting bare root plants at 200 plants per hour Planting bare root plants in the field at 8,500 plants per day Cutting cuttings in the greenhouse at a rate of 250–500 plants per hour Planting cuttings in the greenhouse at 500 plants per hour; tissue culture plants at 250 plants per hour Pulling and shipping trays at 20 trays per hour Filling modules and staging them in the field at a group production rate of 2,500 modules per 8 hours with 8 employees
