We have small grain farming operation. Our equipment consists of John Deere and Case machines. We also run a cow-calf operation and are responsible for the care and feeding of the livestock. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; clean work areas; direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting; inform farm managers of plants or crops progress; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields; mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; operate self propelled machinery; record information about crops; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; tend to livestock by feeding, medicating, general care, grading, sorting, working, placing identification on, or relocating; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: air seeders, augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, bailers and other hay equipment, combines or other harvesting equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, forklift, horseback riding for sorting, caring for livestock, pickups, cars, etc, planters, self-propelled machinery, semi trucks, skid steers, sprayers, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: cattle, horses, canola, corn, hay, silage, soybeans, wheat. Workers will be provided time for lunch and breaks during the workday in compliance with applicable state law. Must speak and understand English.
