We are a 12,000 acre dry land farm that primarily grows small grains and pulses. We also have a couple hundred acres of irrigated alfalfa we hay for our cows. The equipment is all John Deere ranging from older models to brand new. The worker will be expected to run a seeder in the spring, spray/haul water in the summer and combine/ haul grain in the fall. Among other normal farm jobs. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; construct facilities; haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields; operate self propelled machinery; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; tend to livestock by feeding, medicating, general care, grading, sorting, working, placing identification on, or relocating; use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: air seeders, augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, bailers and other hay equipment, combines or other harvesting equipment, dirt moving equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, irrigation equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, self-propelled machinery, semi trucks, sprayers, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: cattle, canola, hay, wheat, Peas, mustard, lentils, chickpeas. Must speak and understand English.
