- Offer description:
The workers will assist with a variety of tasks essential to the operation of a diversified livestock and forage farm. Duties include tagging and feeding calves, checking livestock health, and monitoring fencing to ensure animal containment and safety. Workers will be responsible for watering livestock and monitoring pastures, including rotating animals between grazing areas as needed. Tasks also involve spraying weeds in pastures and around farm infrastructure to maintain forage quality and control unwanted vegetation. Workers will assist with hay production, including cutting, raking, baling, and stacking hay for storage and feeding use. Responsibilities require experience working with large animals and the physical ability to perform repetitive, outdoor labor in varying weather conditions and terrain. Additional duties include watering trees, general farm upkeep, and supporting seasonal needs that arise throughout the contract period. All tasks are performed using established farm tools and equipment under the direction of the farm manager or owner. Workers must follow all safety and animal welfare protocols. These positions are seasonal and coincide with the farm’s peak operational periods from late winter through late fall, ensuring critical livestock care and forage production are completed on time. Prior agricultural experience is required due to the nature of the work. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
