- Offer description:
The worker will operate a variety of modern agricultural equipment to support seasonal grain crop production, including land preparation, seeding, crop management, harvesting, and post-harvest fieldwork. Duties include driving and controlling tractors, combines, and other large machinery to till soil, plant, fertilize, spray, harvest, and transport crops on the farm. The worker will be responsible for attaching and detaching implements such as plows, discs, drills, and sprayers; calibrating and setting up equipment based on crop and field conditions; and conducting routine maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation. Tasks will be performed under varying weather and field conditions and must follow employer instructions precisely. The worker may be required to transport harvested crops within the farm premises and assist with storage activities. Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards are essential. The role requires previous experience operating complex farm machinery, as equipment is technologically advanced and critical to meeting tight seasonal deadlines. The worker must be able to follow schedules aligned with seasonal cycles and respond flexibly to weather-related work demands. Duties may also include minor mechanical troubleshooting and coordination with farm supervisors to ensure optimal field productivity and equipment utilization throughout the agricultural season. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
