All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform the work described in this job description and must be available for the entire period of employment specified in A.3 & A.4. Workers are needed to plant, maintain and harvest diversified ground crops. Workers will perform field work including weeding, thinning, hoeing and other duties related to planting, maintaining and harvesting crops. Workers will work in greenhouses planting and transplanting seedlings, as well as caring for and harvesting greenhouse crops. Workers will also plant and transplant crops in the fields. Workers will work in a storage building washing, culling, and preparing produce for storage and distribution. Workers will load and unload trucks. Workers must have knowledge of soil tillage and must be able to apply fertilizers and pesticides and operate and repair farm machinery. Workers must be willing to work in varied weather ranging from extremely cold in the spring and fall to hot, humid summer days. Work is physically demanding requiring workers to stand, bend, stoop and kneel for long periods of time. Workers must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Workers will operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on or off farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmer's fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, western union on an as-needed basis. Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess a valid driver license; no worker will be rejected for not having a driver's license. Workers who drive will still perform the same field work and other duties as non-driving workers; driving is not a primary duty. Workers must be available to work Saturdays. Workers must be able to use hand and power tools such as but not limited to shovels, hoes, pruners, irrigation pumps and chainsaws. Workers may cut brush to keep fields clear for crops. Employer will furnish to workers without cost all tools and equipment required to perform duties assigned. The employer will provide 1 day of training and allow 2 days of work for the workers to satisfactorily perform duties described in this job description. Workers may require to work 8 hours shift between the hours of 7:00am to 7:00pm from Monday through Saturday. Workers should be available to work on Sunday if needed. Workers will be given a 1-hour lunch break at a time determined by the workers, as well as a 15-minute break in each the morning and the afternoon. Beginning and ending times will vary depending on the crop conditions. Workers must be able to take direction in simple English. 1 worker to start on 3/1/2026 and end on 12/10/2026. 3 workers to start on 4/15/2026 and end on 12/10/2026. 1 workers to start on 5/15/2026 and end on 12/10/2026.
