  This application is for agricultural equipment operators and covers: the production of watermelons, onions, asparagus, beans, corn, sugar beets, mint and row crops. Workers will drive and control farm equipment to plant, grow, and harvest crops. Agricultural equipment operation tasks: 1. Operate or care for equipment used in agricultural production and field preparation, such as tractors, irrigation equipment, and other equipment commonly used in agriculture. 2. Adjust, repair and service farm machinery. 3. Observe and listen to the operation of machinery to detect malfunctions in the equipment. 4. You will operate tractors to work and plow the soil and move containers in and out of the fields. 5. Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungi and weeds, and diseases using tractors or hand sprayers. 6. Load and drive vehicles and equipment to transport crops, supplies, tools and workers between worksites. During harvest, workers will drive harvest vehicles. Workers who are qualified and willing to perform repairs on housing provided under the H-2A program will be compensated at the AEWR.
