Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2091 Agricultural Equipment Operator such as: Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases; Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions; Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms, including hydraulic cylinders, on machinery for cultivating, planting, spraying, watering, harvesting, storing crops; Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery such as cleaning, washing, fueling, greasing, checking/adding oil; Operate or tend primarily Case IH equipment with guidance, John Deere equipment with Greenstar GPS , and Caterpillar equipment used in agricultural production such as tractor, combine, sprayer, dry fertilizer applicator, truck, cart, crawler tractor, excavator and mower to prepare the land and produce crops such as corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton; Adjust farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions; Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, planters, harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools; Operate machinery such as bulldozer for forming waterways/terraces and ensuring proper field drainage and clearing of brush and trees; Haul and spread lime, fertilizer, litter, and other materials to condition soil; Operate towed machines such as seed drills or spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops. Must be able speak and understand English.
