We are a row crop farm of approximately 3,100 acres in need of help with planting, hauling, (repairing and maintaining equipment, buildings, and land), and other projects. Our work requirements are heavy between April 15 to July 1 during planting, and again between September 1 to October 31 during harvest. We primarily grow corn, wheat, and soybeans and utilize some pivot and flood irrigation. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work areas; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields; maintain grounds and landscaping; mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; operate self propelled machinery; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: air seeders, augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, combines or other harvesting equipment, dirt moving equipment, grain carts, forklift, irrigation equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, self-propelled machinery, semi trucks, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, soybeans, wheat. We aim for a 5, 9 hour day work week between Monday and Friday; however, days can be more than 15 hours long and weeks can include working every day until all the available land is planted or harvested. Must speak and understand English. Approximate staggered entry: 1 worker to begin March 1 and 1 worker to begin March 15.
