We are a diversified farming operation that has livestock(beef cattle-cow/calf), forage production, agritourism, and row crop enterprises. We calve in both the spring and fall of the year. We maintain over 1,000 acres of pasture to run the cattle on and also plant around 500 acres for forage production. We sell a portion of our forage to other local producers as well. We have nice places to catch and work cattle, and also run mostly late model farm equipment for all the various equipment needs on the farm. We have an agritourism operation that is busiest during the fall of the year with school groups during the week and customers during the weekend. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work areas; haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil; maintain grounds and landscaping; operate self propelled machinery; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; tend to livestock by feeding, medicating, general care, grading, sorting, working, placing identification on, or relocating; use hand tools such as such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, knives, wrenches, crow bars, air tools, and electric tools. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: bailers and other hay equipment, combines or other harvesting equipment, GPS guidance systems, manure spreading equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, self-propelled machinery, silage choppers, skid steers, spreaders, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: cattle, corn, hay, silage, soybeans, vegetables. Must be able to speak and understand English.
