All work is performed on a farm for a farmer. Workers would perform duties like loading seeds into planters and drive tractors attached to planters. Typical maintenance on farm equipment such as checking and adding lubricants, fix flat tires, small repairs such as replacing hoses etc. Assisting with irrigation of crops by laying poly pipe and removal at end of the season. Monitoring irrigation progress by walking in the fields. Driving tractors attached to scrapers and other field equipment. Operation of dozers and excavators. Performing precision landforming with aid of lasers and GPS systems. Typical maintenance on dirt moving equipment such as checking and adding lubricants, fix flat tires, small repairs such as replacing hoses etc. Welding drain pipes & breaks on equipment. Removing failed parts off tractors and putting them back on tractors such as hydraulic hoses, air condition parts, rear and front differentials, transmissions, or anything needed repaired on a tractor. General maintenance on trucks. Driving tractors attached to grain carts to move harvested grain from combine harvesters to trucks for delivery to the grain storage facilities located on employers' farms. General upkeep of shop area including cleaning, mowing, and weed eating. Spraying ditches and shop yard for weeds. Equipment: Tractors, scrapes, combines, dozer, trackhoe. Any tasks derived from a Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) other than the SOC designated in this job order are strictly incidental in nature, performed only on an occasional basis, and constitute less than the majority of the contractual period, and shall not be construed as reflective of the primary occupation for which certification is sought.
