- Offer description:
Our farming operation produces wheat, sorghum, rye, and cotton, all of which follow a defined seasonal planting and harvesting cycle that drives our labor needs throughout the year. From spring through early winter, we require additional workers to assist with time-sensitive, labor-intensive tasks such as field preparation, planting, cultivating, spraying, irrigation, and harvesting. After harvest—typically from late fall into early winter—the workload decreases significantly, and only limited duties such as equipment maintenance, recordkeeping, and preparation for the next season remain, which can be handled by year-round staff. Seasonal job duties include preparing fields for planting; attaching implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, and harvesters to tractors; operating tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, and other equipment; performing planting, weeding, spraying, and harvesting activities; applying fertilizer and pesticide solutions; loading materials into machinery using forklifts, augers, or hand tools; adjusting and operating machinery; mixing and loading chemicals or seed; monitoring equipment for malfunctions; hauling crops, supplies, and tools; and performing routine maintenance and repairs. Workers may also assist with general farm support activities such as shop maintenance, hoeing weeds, and cleaning equipment and vehicles. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.
