Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in Soc Code 45-2091 Record information about crops such as pesticide use, yields, or costs; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage of crops such as operating cutters/pullers on seed corn; Clean and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Identify plants, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as combine, grain cart, sprayer, tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as corn, soybeans; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employer’s fields, load employer’s crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Regulate conditions; Maintain inventory; Haul and spread inputs like water, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Weigh containers and record weights and identifying information; Monitor crop health and assess in field conditions; speak and understand English. Approximate staggered entry: 2 workers to begin March 1 and 4 workers to begin Sept 1.
