- Offer description:
Schanilec Farms Inc. is a successful farming operation in northeast North Dakota area managing around 4,000 acres. Currently, our 6th generation of family farmers is continuing upon the successes of the past as we look forward into the future in planting, cultivating, harvesting, and marketing of our crops including spring wheat, corn, edible beans, and sugar beets while keeping a healthy rotation of potato production on our ground for a good crop rotation. Employees will operate tractors, sprayers, skidsteers, fork lifts, and/or combines. We also stay busy working in our shop when we are caught up in the fields or if the weather is not conducive to work in the fields. In the shop, we do mechanics, general maintenance, and repairs on all of our farm equipment, which includes planters, tillage tools and other heavy machinery. Employees will assist with planting part of the crop, cultivating, harvesting, spraying or driving a farm truck. We are very flexible and willing to train the right people. Employees will assist with all aspects of growing these crops, and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid $20.00/hr if that rate exceeds the current published rate.
