This is a row crop farming operation, with planting season beginning in March/April and harvest running through October/November. We are seeking seasonal employees to assist with corn and soybean production and all aspects of growing these crops. Job duties include preparing fields for planting; attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools; operating tractors and other farm equipment; planting, weeding, spraying, and harvesting; applying fertilizers and pesticides to control insects, fungi, weeds, and diseases; loading and unloading crops or materials manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers; feeding machinery with products; manipulating machinery controls; mixing and applying specified materials or chemicals; positioning boxes or bags to catch products; attaching equipment extensions; driving pickup trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools; and performing routine inspection, maintenance, and repairs on equipment. Employees must be able to handle the daily occurrences on the farm, and flexibility and common sense are essential, as duties change daily depending on the growing season and weather. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.
