Weed, shovel, hoe, plant, cultivate, harvest, grade and pack fruits and vegetables to include but not limited to blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries. This includes transplanting, irrigating, pruning, staking and string plants on trellises as necessary. Prepare fields for planting. Hand harvest plants with tools. Lay plastic mulch. Clean fields post harvest. Maintain and operate irrigation systems. Maintain and operate hydroponic system. Cover berry field with bird netting. Perform end of season tasks including but not limited to removing netting and storing for winter, mulching plants and pruning vines. Must work with hands and be fast and agile. Perform nursery work Minimum Job Qualifications/Requirements for planting of plants. Move, load and unload nursery pots. Prepare soil and growing medium. Plant, weed, water plants using provided tools. Set down potted plants into growing areas. Clean work areas, sanitize and maintain grounds, nursery areas, landscaped areas and warehouse. Chainsaw logs, split logs with wood splitter, load logs onto conveyor, move firewood bags to storage on property, and hand stack firewood. Clean work area, wash equipment, collect and dispose of sawdust. May deliver products to farm customers within a 75 mile radius of the farm. The farmer reserves the right to pay additional wages based on length of service and/or job performance.
