Crops (Conventional): Beets, Broccoli, Celery, Cilantro, Collards, Corn, Cover Crop, Curly Mustard, Curly Parsley, Dandelion, Dill, Green Cabbage, Green Kale, Green Swiss, Kohlrabi, Leeks, Methileaf, Plain Mustard, Plain Parsley, Rainbow Swiss, Red Cabbage, Red Onions, Red Swiss, Root Parsley, Savoy Cabbage, Spinach, Turnip Greens, Tuscan Kale, Watermelon, White Onions, Yellow Onions. Crops (Organic): Broccoli, Broccolini, Celery, Cilantro, Collards, Cover Crop, Cucumber, Curly Parsley, Dandelion, Green Cabbage, Green Kale, Leeks, Plain Parsley, Red Cabbage, Red Onions, Tuscan Kale, Watermelon, White Onions, Yellow Onions, Zucchini. Agricultural Equipment operators: Drive tractors using a number of implements including plows, discs, land planes, tillers, bed formers, seeders, sprayers, mulch and irrigation tape layers, plastic mulch removers, and mowers. Install and maintain drip irrigation systems. Workers will perform various duties all associated with cultivation and harvesting of greens and melons. Inspect crops in the field and indicate when to harvest. Participate in hand and semi mechanized harvests. Harvesting of fresh cut greens including kale, collards, turnip tops, mustard greens, onions, and melons. Workers will also clean, grade, sort pack and load harvested crops. Worker will place, not drop, product into harvest container and when full carry container to the designated area and either exchange for empty container or empty container then return to row and repeat process. Field packing, operating farm equipment, shed packing (on the farm), fresh-cut processing, and other agricultural operations related to the production of fruit and vegetable production, including but not limited to greens, onions, and melons (see included list). Workers will also grade, clean, wash, sort, pack, package, stack, and load fresh-cut bagged products and melons. Be able to work in the farm packing house, on the farm, performing minor maintenance, making boxes, sorting , and moving packed boxes by hand and with forklifts. Workers must operate all equipment property and in a manner that protects operator, others, the employers products and property. Crew Lead- Team Leaders will additionally be responsible for checking quality, filling out paperwork, and receiving order for production. May clock in other workers. Crew Leaders will fall under the direct supervision of First Line Supervisors. Workers who possess a valid driver’s license and meet all applicable legal requirements, including holding a doctor’s certificate as required by 29 CFR § 500.105, may be asked to drive vehicles on company business. This task is voluntary, compensable, and not a mandatory job duty. Workers without a valid driver’s license or doctor’s certificate will still be fully eligible for employment and are not disqualified from any other job responsibilities outlined in this application. The employer can and will make alternative arrangements for the transportation of workers should the need arise. Sanitation Requirements: For food and general personal safety purposes, all workers will be required and expected to follow common sanitary and GAP practices at all times. This is particularly critical when hand harvesting crops for human consumption. Employees are required to cleanse their hands by washing them thoroughly with soap and water after using the bathroom and before entering fields or for harvest activities of the packing facility for packing operations. A general work week is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and Saturday 7:00am to 12pm. However, because of the complexity of the crop conditions workers may be requested to work long days as well as on Saturdays, Sundays or Federal Holidays, depending upon the conditions of the commodities being produced. Workers may also be requested to work in various shifts.
