- Offer description:
We need seasonal help to fertilize, spray, plant, harvest and haul grain. From February 25 until April 1 employees will need to assist with the calving season. Employees will need to tag calves, treat sick calves and work with cows and calves until they are ready for pasture. Once completed with the calving season, employees will start with planting crops on our farm (employer owned farming operation). We plant and spray oats, peas, millet, wheat, rye, soybeans and teff grass and harvest oats, wheat, soybeans and corn as well as operating a John Deere auto-steer to do air seeding, will need to fill with seed and calibrate seed meters to plant crop. For spraying, employee will need to fill spraying with tank mix, apply to field and operate John Deer auto-steer. Employees will also haul grain, water and dry fertilizer as required on the main farm. Employee will also operate 4 wheel-drive tractors to apply fertilizer and will need to calibrate rate controller. Beginning in August, employee will assist in combining wheat, oats, corn, soybeans, and milo for custom clients as listed on the itinerary. Employees will only be doing combining duties when working on the client farms as listed on the itinerary. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Workers returning for a third season or more will be paid at their previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.
