We need seasonal workers to assist with our corn, wheat, sorghum, cotton, peanut, and watermelon farming operation. Employees will help with planting, raising, harvesting, and hauling these crops. Duties include preparing fields for planting; attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, and harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools; and operating tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery. Workers will engage in planting, weeding, spraying, cultivating, and harvesting activities; fertilize and spray crops, including applying fertilizer or pesticide solutions using hand sprayers; irrigate fields using portable pipes or ditch systems and maintain ditches, pipes, and pumps; and install, maintain, and repair pivot irrigation systems. Additional duties include loading and unloading crops or materials manually or using conveyors, forklifts, transfer augers, or hand trucks; loading hoppers, containers, or conveyors using forklifts, augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks; manipulating controls to set, activate, and adjust equipment mechanisms; observing and listening to machinery to detect malfunctions; driving farm semi-trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools; inspecting, adjusting, and performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and irrigation systems; recording agricultural data as required; and completing general maintenance and repair tasks as needed. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.
