Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops including working with bins and augers; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment using materials like metal, wood, plastic; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment such as operating pivots and motors, moving poly pipe, digging ditches; Walking fields to pull weeds; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and primarily Case IH and John Deere self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such a sprayer, tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as soybeans, corn and cotton; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employer’s fields, load employer’s crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping including using power tools and hand tools; Trap and destroy pests such as moles, gophers, and mice; Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Level land; Speak and understand english. Approximate staggered entry: 1 worker to begin Feb 20 and 2 workers to begin March 20.
