We are a 6000 acre row crop farming operation, with 3000 acres of grassland for our cow/calves. We primarily grow wheat, corn, cotton, grain sorghum, sileage. Our equipment primarily consists of late model equipment comprising John Deere. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc, attach/detach implements, clean work areas, construct facilities, direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting, identify plants, crops, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers, inform farm managers of plants or crops progress, load and unload materials and commodities, maintain grounds and landscaping, maintain inventory, mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery, operate self propelled machinery, participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures, set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment, tend to livestock by feeding, medicating, general care, grading, sorting, working, placing identification on, or relocating, tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops, trap and destroy pests, use hand tools such as such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives, use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools, weigh containers and record weights and identifying information, work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: air seeders, augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, bailers and other hay equipment, combines or other harvesting equipment, cotton stripper/picker, dirt moving equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, forklift, horseback riding for sorting, caring for livestock, irrigation equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, self-propelled machinery, skid steers, sprayers, straight frame trucks, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tillage equipment, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: cattle, horses, corn, cotton, grain sorghum, hay, silage, wheat. Repair existing fences and build new fence. Must speak and understand English.
