Workers will operate a variety of commercial and agricultural equipment to complete large-scale mowing, land maintenance, vegetation management, hydroseeding, erosion control, and general site work. Equipment includes but is not limited to agricultural tractors (with batwing, flail, boom/arm mower attachments), zero-turn mowers, skid steers, excavators, hydroseeders, dump trailers, and related machinery. Duties include operating equipment safely to mow rights-of-way, levees, drainage channels, retention areas, commercial sites, and large-acreage properties; loading/unloading equipment; assisting with hydroseeding operations; trenching, grading, material moving, and debris removal with skid steers or excavators; spot-spraying vegetation; and performing general grounds maintenance. Workers will conduct daily equipment inspections, check and maintain fluids, grease points, filters, tires, belts, blades, hoses, and hydraulic systems; report mechanical issues; and keep equipment clean and properly stored. Work requires frequent walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and extended periods operating machinery in outdoor environments including extreme heat, humidity, rain, and uneven terrain. Position requires a minimum of three (3) years of prior experience operating heavy or agricultural equipment such as tractors, batwing/boom mowers, skid steers, excavators, or hydroseeders. Employer will provide additional employer-specific training. Workers may be reassigned to various job sites throughout the workday based on operational needs. All duties are related and incidental to the primary role of Equipment Operator. Employer provides all tools, equipment, and PPE required to perform the job at no cost.
