These temporary seasonal in nature positions include work as Cattle Ranch Workers and Fence Builders. Cattle Worker - Workers will assist with critical annual cattle-handling procedures, • Herding cattle to administer required treatments • Castrating, vaccinating, and branding (for identification and grading) • Weighing cattle on scales • Catching and loading animals onto trucks or into enclosures These tasks occur once per year and require additional labor to complete safely and efficiently. Outside of this seasonal period, I am able to manage the cattle’s routine needs myself. Workers are needed only for these intensive, annual tasks. Workers will also assist with necessary ranch fence repairs and building new fence. Duties include removing and installing barbed-wire fencing, taking down metal posts, removing damaged wire, clearing debris, and preparing acreage for new installations. Workers must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and walk extensively. Fence Builder Farm & Ranch Fencing- Workers will install and remove various types of farm and ranch fencing, including barbed wire, net wire, metal T-post fencing, and cedar-post fencing. Duties include: • Clearing land and preparing acreage for new fencing installations • Removing existing fencing, including pulling metal posts and damaged wire • Operating and maintaining equipment used during fence construction • Constructing gates, livestock holding pens, and water stations as needed • Lifting materials up to 40 lbs and walking extensively across work areas These fencing duties are essential to livestock management and require additional labor during peak periods. Workers will maintain their assigned equipment, which is provided at no cost. The need for these workers is strictly temporary, as cattle can only be castrated, vaccinated, and branded once per year, and fencing work is required only during specific seasonal periods. These tasks are extensive and vital, and it would be impossible to complete them without additional seasonal labor.
