• Load and unload crops or containers of materials manually or using conveyors, forklifts, hand trucks, transfer augers, or similar equipment. • Mix and load fertilizers, chemicals, seeds, or crop inputs into planters or sprayers. • Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, weeds, fungus, and plant diseases using hand sprayers or mechanical sprayers. • Observe and listen to equipment to detect malfunctions and report issues to supervisors. • Manipulate controls to set, adjust, and operate agricultural machinery. • Operate tractors, combines, swathers, hay equipment, and irrigation equipment used in crop production. • Adjust, repair, service, and maintain farm machinery and equipment as needed. • Attach implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, harvesters, and grain carts using bolts, tools, and proper safety procedures. • Load hoppers and conveyors using augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks. • Operate towed equipment such as seed drills, manure spreaders, and fertilizer applicators. • Weigh crop-filled containers and record weights and crop information. • Drive farm trucks to haul crops, supplies, equipment, and workers. • Irrigate fields using portable pipes or ditch systems; maintain irrigation pumps, ditches, and pipe systems. • Drive and operate machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store crops including grain,soybeans, silage, alfalfa, prairie hay, and corn. • Till soil, plant seed, and conduct crop cultivation and weed control. • Operate self-propelled combines and tow harvesting equipment. • Record crop information including yields, pesticide use, and other production data. • Maintain farm buildings, fences, structures, farmyards, and surrounding grounds. • Perform general farm labor including spraying, weeding, watering, pruning, and maintenance of tools, equipment, and work areas.
