Job requires operating small tractors, trucks, lawnmowers, and weed eaters. Job will also require working on catfish ponds by checking oxygen levels in the ponds; collecting and transporting fish samples to processors; preparing flavor sampling lists or size sampling lists or obtaining lists from management; monitoring and observing fish characteristics such as length, weight, behavior, growth, survival, and or signs of parasites, diseases or pathogens while performing other job duties; monitoring and maintaining pond water oxygen levels and pond water quality levels including the performance of standard water quality tests; recording field data and preparing reports relating to harvesting and feeding activities by inputting data into an electronic registry or recording data on paper forms; maintaining work logs, repair logs, and maintenance records; performing fence repairs; spraying grass with tractor and sprayer and cutting grass; repairing and maintaining drains, levees, wells, aerators, and road grading work; performing grounds maintenance; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment; and regularly servicing equipment. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions.
