We engage in planting, weeding, spraying, and/or harvesting activities, fertilize, dust, and spray crops, and load and unload crops or materials manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. We load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks. We observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions, weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information. We attach equipment extensions or accessories, load and unload crops, operate equipment to harvest crops, drive pickup trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools, and inspect, adjust, and preventative maintenance on farm equipment, repairing fences, and farm buildings. Operating heavy and light farm equipment: tractor, skid loader, mower. Preparing soil for planting and post-harvest seasons. Hauling in grain from fields and unloading/ loading into grain bins. Attaching implements to tractors. Mowing waterways in the field and grass areas around the property. Assisting with preparation of conditioning soil. Maintaining grounds and cleaning work areas. Other responsibilities as needed: Assisting with cow calf operation including monitoring cows during calving season. Recordkeeping of cows calves. Sorting, branding, and tagging calves.
