Number of Workers Needed: 5 The number of workers needed represents the estimated shortage of domestic workers, and therefore the number of foreign workers the Employer anticipates will be needed. The Employer will hire all able, willing, and qualified domestic workers through the 50% point of the contract period and therefore the number of foreign workers hired could be substantially fewer than listed. Mechanics must be able to: -Rebuild a diesel engine, put piston/sleeves/bearings in an engine, replace fuel injectors, diagnose engine problems on farm vehicles, semitrucks, and heavy machinery (Case IH ag tractors). -Rebuild heavy duty transmissions on semitrucks when necessary. -Perform a complete overhaul on diesel engines, time diesel engines, and change heavy duty clutch on semitrucks. -Work on PTO systems, planting, and tillage equipment, jake breaks. -Harvest preparation includes preparing equipment, trucks, trailers, tractors, harvesters and field equipment. -Diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul agricultural machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, trucks, combines, equipment. -Maintain and repair farm vehicles. -Record details of repairs made, and parts used. -Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation, and adjusting as necessary. -Clean and lubricate parts. -Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools. -Tune engines. -Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions. -Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, milling and woodworking machines, lathes, welding equipment, grinders, or saws. -Fabricate new metal parts, using drill presses, engine lathes, and other machine tools. -Install and repair agricultural, plumbing, and among others. -Assisting cleaning and organizing the shop -Follow direction from leader of mechanic.
