Drive trucks and tractors to transport fish and fish farming equipment. Harvest fish by hand with seine. Clean, grade and sort live fish by hand. Load trucks. Carry 50 pound buckets/baskets of fish. Feed fish. Drain, lime, fill and fertilize fish ponds. Temper and stock fish into ponds. Prepare hatchery facility and collect fish eggs. Monitor fish eggs, fry, fingerlings and mature fish. Repair, maintain, clean and sterilize fish farm equipment. Maintain the ponds, pond levees, and grounds including by cutting vegetation with mowers, bushhogs and weedeaters or, as needed, by spraying specialized weed killers. Control of predatory birds such as pelicans, herons and cormorants. Daily start and end time varies throughout the season. Night work monitoring eggs and fish is available with a paid bonus. Exposure to extreme temp, repetitive movements, extensive pushing, pulling walking and frequent stooping Involves lifting and carrying of 25 lbs frequently The hours listed represent the normal work schedule. Due to the nature of the duties and weather it is the prevailing practice to work substantially more, less or different hours than those listed, sometimes for extended periods of time. When the number of hours for a week exceeds the number listed then, the worker may be offered, but not required, to work more hours. Employer may request, but not require, workers to work more than the stated daily hours and/or on the weekend, a worker’s Sabbath or federal holidays. Worker must report to work at designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors. Employer will notify workers of any change to start time.
