PILOT CREW APPLICATION Perform duties on a farm for a farm like: Pilot will fly Airtractor 802, Airtractor 402, and Robinson R-44 Helicopters for Cedar Ridge Aviation, LLC. by applying chemical and fertilizer to crops. Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery. Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers. Control or operate equipment in which chemical changes or reactions take place during the processing of industrial or consumer products. Adjust controls to regulate temperature, pressure, feed, or flow of liquids or gases and times of prescribed reactions, according to knowledge of equipment and processes. Measure, weigh, and mix chemical ingredients, according to specifications. Add treating or neutralizing agents to products, and pump products through filters or centrifuges to remove impurities or to precipitate products. Drain equipment, and pump water or other solutions through to flush and clean tanks or equipment. Make minor repairs, lubricate, and maintain equipment, using hand tools. Record information about crops, such as pesticide use, yields, or costs. Direct and monitor the work of casual and seasonal help during planting and harvesting. Load or unload trucks or help others with loading or unloading, using special loading-related equipment or other equipment as necessary. Drive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver products, livestock, or other materials. Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers. Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles. Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition. Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles. Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations. Drive vehicles with capacities under three tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations, such as railroad stations, plants, residences, offices, or within industrial yards. Use and maintain the tools or equipment found on commercial vehicles, such as weighing or measuring devices. Drive trucks equipped with public address systems through city streets to broadcast announcements for advertising or publicity purposes. Perform emergency repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, or spark plugs. Related occupations.
