Prepare traps for crawfish harvest - put bait into the traps and drop them into the ponds from boats. Harvest crawfish by pulling traps out of the water and into the boat driven by the worker. Empty traps into sorters, sort crawfish by size and put into crawfish sacks. Re-bait traps and drop back into the pond. Load crawfish onto trucks for shipping. General farm maintenance, filling vehicles and outboard motors with fuel moving boats and trucks to crawfish ponds on the farm. Cleaning up by the shop are and farm. The workers are employed to collect crawfish that are harvested by driving tractors to launch boats. They also drive the boats when they pull traps from ponds that contain crawfish. The crawfish are dumped into sorting trays; the traps are are re-baited and dropped back into the pond. Wash and clean tractors. Work as farm labor to do what is required as workers on the farm, as directed by the farm manager. When crawfish season is over workers will then drive a tractor to help harvest corn and soybeans. They will also start sugar cane planting; driving a tractor and walking behind the cane planter and placing the sugar cane in rows. When the sugar cane is ready, they will be driving a tractor with a harvester to harvest the cane. Workers will also be responsible for cleaning harvest equipment and making sure it is fueled and ready for the next day. When row crops have been harvested the workers will then be responsible for cleaning all of the equipment and putting the crawfish traps away for the next season.
