Winter related duties include general winter maintenance; snow removal from pathways/roadways/roofs; repair/maintain equipment; construction and repair of farm buildings/structures; tractor maintenance, deliveries, winter farmers markets, wash storage vegetables, clean up fields/greenhouses for next season, seed inventory/crop planning for the following season. Work in all weather conditions. Ability to lift 80lbs with assistance. 3 months of experience required. Random drug testing may be required post-hire at employer expense for both H-2A and domestic workers. 35 Hours/week. Monday-Friday 9am-5pm including 1 hour for lunch. Additional hours required as necessary based on weather and greenhouse crop production. Hours may vary based on weather and crop conditions. Emergency Procedures Justification: We respectfully request that the Department of Labor accept the attached Form ETA-790 as timely filed pursuant to the Department’s emergency filing procedures. The delay in submission was directly and unavoidably caused by the recent Federal Government shutdown, which rendered the Foreign Labor Application Gateway (FLAG) system and other essential government functions inaccessible during the designated filing period. Sun Sprout Farm has made all reasonable and good-faith efforts to prepare and file the application in advance of the statutory filing deadline. However, due to the shutdown, the FLAG system was unavailable and we were unable to electronically submit the application as required. As soon as the system became operational, the employer immediately submitted the Form ETA-790.
