We have a chicken hatchery production facility. We incubate chicken eggs, hatch the chicks, separate the chicks by gender, package customer chick orders, and ship chicks to customers. Employees will examine chick genitalia, feathers, and/or colors to determine their sex, including picking up chicks, squeezing chicks so that feces are extracted, shining light or turning back cloacal opening to view and observe the sex of the chick, as well as segregate chicks according to sex. Employees will also examine feathers and colors of chicks to segregate chicks according to sex. Employees will assist in all areas of the hatchery and farms, including but not limited to: toe/wing/beak clipping, vaccinating, loading chicks into separator, receiving, loading, and unloading eggs and chicks in the hatchery, at farms, and at shipping locations, driving to farms and shipping locations using vans and/or loading and unloading eggs and chicks, placing eggs on trays, loading trays into incubators, transferring eggs from incubators to hatchers, dumping product waste, filling customer chick orders, cleaning and sanitizing the facility and equipment, and performing all other duties as assigned. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer's discretion. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at their previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.
