Take care of the day to day management including feeding, watering, administering vaccines and taking care of sick livestock. Help with shipping of goats, etc. Examine animals to detect disease and injury; Maintain, inspect and repair fencing, water line repair and installation; assist with vaccination of livestock by herding into corral or manually restraining animal on the range; apply medications to cuts and bruises; assembling lambing jugs; cleaning out lambing jugs. Work is performed on the range for more than 50% of the workdays in the contract period. Exposure to extreme temp, repetitive movements, extensive pushing, pulling walking and frequent stooping Involves lifting and carrying of 50 lbs frequently The hours listed represent the normal work schedule. Due to the nature of the duties and weather it is the prevailing practice to work substantially more, less or different hours than those listed, sometimes for extended periods of time. When the number of hours for a week exceeds the number listed then, the worker may be offered, but not required, to work more hours. Employer may request, but not require, workers to work more than the stated daily hours and/or on the weekend, a worker’s Sabbath or federal holidays. Worker must report to work at designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors. Employer will notify workers of any change to start time. Employer will furnish at no cost, all tools including but not limited to: rope, tack, gloves, veterinary equipment, hand tools, protective gear, bedding etc. as well as effective electronic means of communication (cell phone and 2 way radio) for work and emergency purposes. If worker is in an area where electronic communication will not work, the employer or person designated by employer will contact the worker in regular pre-scheduled visits twice daily.
