AEWR; US Workers: GA: $12.27; H2A Workers: GA: $10.52. Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties under SOC Code 45-2092 such as: Inspect, sort, weigh and pack fresh carrots in a timely manner; Manually sort fresh carrots by size and consistency on a moving conveyer; Place carrots on a scale and check weight (1, 2, 5 lb. packages) on moving conveyer, place carrots on scale and check weight; Box assembly – builds boxes by hand, grasps flattened box, shapes into box from, folds flaps down and pushes tabs into locked position, applies sticker with code date and product code; Handling various lifting and packing of finished carrot bags and boxes; Ensure all GMP (good manufacturing practices) and quality standards are met and maintain the efficient flow of product through the production process; Stacking/Palletizing – Twisting, tying, and applying hog ring to 50 lb. bags, lifts, and stacks up to 50 lbs. bags and places them on the correct pallet, operates a pneumatic staple gun, wraps and tapes loaded pallets, applies stickers to finished goods; Uses pallet jack to transport pallets of finished product from production to staging area; Packing – packs 1-10# bags from a moving conveyor into a master bag/box, must be able to count to 50 to assure proper weights and measures accountability, must be able to determine the colors to sort through various bags on a pack loop; Cleans area, sweeps, and shovels carrots and cleans equipment and work area; Drive electric powered, or propane powered industrial truck with lifting devices such as a forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier or move products, material, and equipment; Obtaining and transporting proper packaging supplies to production staging area from warehouse storage, as well as transport pallets of finished product from production to shipping areas in a timely manner; Collect, rotates, dumps and stores raw product into cull trailers, rotates stock in cold storage on rare occasion, inventories stock in cold storage, and accomplishes all other tasks requiring the use of specified heavy equipment; Obtain supplies from warehouse storage racks for production and transport to appropriate staging areas as required; Remove packing, banding and place in proper receptacles, remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the dumpster or other appropriate receptacles; Locate and shuttle full trailers of whole carrots to the flume line for unloading, open gates, and remove empty trailer; Operate hydraulic water pressure cranes to empty trailers of carrots into the flume elevator-conveyor system in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures); Obtain daily production paperwork and prepare for operations; Perform safety check inspection of the wash-out equipment to ensure that all safety devices are functioning properly; Locate full trailers of whole carrots, match trailer number to paperwork and shuttle full trailers to the flume line for unloading; Direct and position of raw carrots to the elevator-conveyer system as required; Position trailer to washout station, unhook power/brake lines from trailer and open trailer gates for unloading; Set-up control panel of hydraulic water pressure crane to empty crane to empty trailers of raw carrots into the flume elevator-conveyer system; Manually open trailer gates to flume with metal pole; Operates hydraulic water pressure crane to empty trailers of raw carrots into the flume elevator-conveyor system.
