• Offer description:

  Workers will be required to complete seasonal livestock duties including feeding hay, feeding grain, maintaining minerals and salt, ensure cattle have adequate water and check water twice per day for freezing. Workers will be responsible for checking and maintaining the health of the cattle including deworming and administering any necessary medications. Responsibilities will also include separating the cattle into necessary pens and ensuring feeder steers have the correct ration of ground feed and the heifers have daily feeding of grain. Responsibilities will also include feedlot maintenance, i.e. snow and manure removal, inspect, maintain and repair pends, yards and fences, and maintenance on hay and grain feeders. Workers will be responsible for removing and disposing dead animals. Workers will also be responsible for clearing snow in yard and driveway for feed trucks to enter and exit, as well as maintaining snow removal equipment such as snowplow, skid loader and skid loader trailer, tractor and snow blower and wagon.
