  Move cattle from seasonal pasturelands into winter facilities at the beginning of the calving period. Calve out calves. Medicate, vaccinate and treat for seasonal sicknesses. Care for newborn calves and nursing mothers during the winter period when they require additional care due to fluctuating temperatures and seasonal sicknesses. Isolate sick calves. Feed cattle during snowy/subfreezing periods when no seasonal pasturelands remain available for them to naturally graze upon. Remove snow from farm property. Break ice formation in water tanks daily. Fix and repair fencing damaged by drifting snow. Basic farm maintenance duties such as shop work.
