  Duties may include: Assist with calving season duties such as feeding and watering livestock , monitor food and water supplies, baling hay and storing silage, repair and maintenance on fencing and farm buildings, clean stalls, pens and equipment, using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses, or pumps, hauling cattle and cattle feed. Using equipment such as tractors, feed wagon and manure spreader. Duties will be performed directly in relation to the calving season of the herd. Calving duties will also include marking livestock to identify ownerships and grade, using brands, tags, paint or tattoos. Provide medical treatment, such as administering medication and vaccinations, or arrange for veterinarians to provide more extensive treatment. Assist in weaning the cattle by mixing feed, additives to ensure proper weight gain. Maintain growth, feeding, production, and cost records & other related Ranch Hand activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org)
