H-2A and corresponding domestic workers must be available to perform each of the following job activities in connection with the harvesting and farming operations: Packhouse Workers (Citrus – Grapefruit and Oranges); Machine Operator, Forklift Driver, General Labor Packinghouse Worker will prepare high-quality citrus (ruby red grapefruit, oranges, etc.) for shipment. The worker will ensure produce is carefully handled, packed, labeled, and stored while maintaining quality and safety standards. •Evaluate produce by size, color, and grade; discard damaged or defective fruit. •Line containers (boxes, crates, trays) and layer fruit using proper materials (paper dividers, foam, padding). •Pack items gently in specified patterns, wrap where needed, and seal containers. •Weigh packages to meet required specifications; label cartons with identification or pallet tags as needed. •Stack packed cartons on pallets using corner boards for stability and transfer them to coolers or staging areas. •Maintain a clean workstation: sweep floors, clear debris, sanitize packing areas, and clean conveyors. •Follow food-safety protocols. •Operate tractors, forklifts, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery. •General Labor •Prepare freshly harvested crops for shipment in the original, unmanufactured state. •Drive trucks to haul product, supplies or tools.
