Job duties include general ranch work such as mending and maintaining fences/gates, pond cleanouts, drainage control, crop planting, winterizing plants & trees to protect from freezes, perennial rye grass installation, application and fertilization; clearing and preparing brush to burn, grading, clearing, and maintaining roads and trails, minor road repair for ranch roads due to wash outs, assisting with general care of livestock such as feeding and watering livestock, herding livestock to pasture for grazing, checking livestock for injuries, assisting with vaccination of livestock, applying medication to cuts and bruises, assisting with castration of livestock, and with branding; also, operating general farm equipment, maintaining, winterization and draining of sprinkler systems, mending and maintaining of ranch buildings and structures, and snow removal. Lifting requirement of up to 50 lbs. Employer will abide by all of Colorado's Agricultural laws to include Senate Bill 21-087 ("SB87") and any subsequent Overtime and Minimum Pay Standards Orders (COMPS order). Effective 1/1/25, overtime must be paid after 48 hours worked per week, or 56 hours worked per week for up to 22 “peak weeks” for highly seasonal employers.
