  Performs duties related to planting, cultivating and harvesting ginseng, forest grown medicinal herbs, horticultural specialties, and field crops. Use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears and knives. Duties may include hand planting seed, raking and preparing seed beds; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; General forestry & shade canopy maintenance, cleaning, grading, sorting, packingand loading harvested products. Repair fences and farm buildings, participate in irrigation activities and help eradicate certain crop pests. Pick weeds, berries and ginseng leaves and roots. Drive to town to pickup supplies.
