Job duties include operating trucks and equipment to transport sugarcane from various worksites, in connection with the harvesting of a perishable crop, from the fields to the mill operating a tractor-trailer combination; deliver sugarcane to designated locations (without leaving tractor-trailer combination); DOT Approved CDL required; 2 months previous experience of driving tractor-trailer combination/cane transport equipment required. Job involves extensive sitting, exposure to extreme temperatures, repetitive movements, and frequent stooping. Worker must be able to lift/carry sufficient weight (approximately 50 pounds) to move equipment and material necessary to complete assigned tasks. The Employer will rely on workers own representations and observations of workers to assess if the workers meet this qualification. Travel is required to and from field locations; transportation is provided; drug screening may be required upon hire and randomly (paid for by employer). Bonus may be paid at the end of contract at the discretion of the employer. Base hours offered is 40 hours; overtime hours are usually offered during plentiful season and may include an additional 10- 40 hours of overtime work depending on the nature of the season; higher wage may be paid based on experience.
