- Offer description:
Crops: Dates Heavy Labor: Workers will perform a variety of tasks within the company's production environment. The Heavy Labor position is required to perform manual labor within conditions often less than ideal, such as outdoors during high temperatures. This position requires activities such as stacking, lifting, dumping fruit, cleaning, and other duties assigned. Sanitation: Workers will clean and sanitize the centralized area of the ranch where dates are sorted, ensuring compliance with Quality Control and Bacterial Standards, as well as with applicable regulations from governmental agencies such as the USDA. The sanitation worker must be able to work as a team along with other members of the crew, under stressful conditions, and be flexible and willing to perform varying tasks per the supervisor's or the Crew leader's instructions and in accordance with all safety guidelines mandated by Oasis Date Processing LLC. Workers will lift/move hoses, equipment, and chemical containers weighing 20-80 lbs. throughout each work shift. Workers will assist in transporting heavy equipment with forklifts or other devices. Workers will completely clean and sanitize the plant quickly and efficiently during relatively short time periods between the plant's normal production shifts, which typically requires that the sanitation worker work during late evenings/night/early morning shifts (specific work shift to be determined by the supervisor), and frequent overtime (weekends, days, evenings). Due to exposure to chemical cleaning solution, workers are required to wear employer-specified protective gear, including three pairs of gloves, face/eye shields, aprons, boots, etc. (some of which to be supplied by employer).
