- Offer description:
Workers will perform manual and mechanized agricultural tasks related to the planting, cultivation, and harvesting of wheat on approximately 26 acres of agricultural fields. Duties include preparing fields by clearing debris, removing weeds, and tilling soil, operating tractors and related equipment to plow, harrow, level, and seed fields; and applying fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides under supervision, in compliance with safety guidelines. Workers will install and monitor irrigation systems and manually irrigate fields as needed. They will monitor crop development for signs of pests, disease, or nutrient deficiencies; remove weeds manually; and report crop issues to supervisors. Harvesting will be performed using combines and other mechanized equipment. Workers will assist with loading and unloading harvested wheat, bagging, weighing, packing, labeling, and stacking grain for storage or shipment. Workers will also clean and maintain grain bins and prepare crops for transport to local storage facilities or buyers. Workers may be required to drive grain to local storage or delivery locations using farm trucks or trailers. Workers must follow inventory and labeling instructions and may assist with basic record keeping or yield documentation. Additional tasks include performing general field cleanup after harvest, maintaining and repairing farm tools, machinery, and irrigation systems, and following all safety, sanitation, and quality standards throughout the season. Workers will operate tractors with plows, harrows, seeders, and spreaders; combines and grain carts; grain baggers, augers, and scales; irrigation tools and chemical sprayers; and hand tools such as shovels, hoes, wrenches, grease guns, and oil cans. All tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided to workers at no cost.
